Facts and circumstances of collection Fansdonate is collecting personal information directly from you, including your name, email address and telephone number, on behalf of Red Cross.
Is the collection being made because a law or Court order applies? No law or Court order applies to the collection of this information.
Why does Fansdonate need to collect this information? Fansdonate needs to collect this information on behalf of Red Cross so that Fansdonate or Red Cross can do one or more of the following:

  • enter you into the draw to win a voucher and to notify you if you win a voucher.
  • to gain an understanding of your communication needs, to perform research and analysis to improve the way in which Red Cross engages with you as a supporter.

Red Cross may also use your information for direct marketing in relation to Red Cross. We use your information to promote Red Cross fundraising campaigns, humanitarian activities and other services that we think will interest you. This marketing may be by email, phone, SMS, post or online. You are entitled to opt out of direct marketing at any time by emailing contactus@redcross.org.au or calling 1800 RED CROSS (733 276) or contacting Fansdonate by emailing support@fansdonate.com.au.
The primary purpose for which the information is being collected The primary purpose of collecting this information is to enter you into the draw to win a voucher and notify you if you win.
The secondary purposes (if any) for which Fansdonate is collecting this information The secondary purpose of collecting this information is to provide you with direct marketing in relation to Red Cross, including inviting you to participate in Red Cross fundraising campaigns
What happens if Fansdonate doesn’t collect this information? If Fansdonate does not collect this information on behalf of Red Cross we will not be able to enter you into the draw to win a voucher or notify you if you win a voucher.
Anonymity/Nickname If Fansdonate does not collect your real name and contact information we will be unable to enter you into the draw to win a voucher.
The organisations we usually disclose this information to are Fansdonate may disclose your information to Red Cross and to third parties that provide services to Red Cross. These services include professional marketing and fundraising organisations who provide Red Cross with letter printing, call centre, email and data analysis services. These organisations may provide Red Cross with other similar services. Red Cross may also disclose your information to organisations that provide Red Cross with information technology and banking services.
