For over a century, Red Cross has been helping Australians get through all types of
emergencies. Last year we responded to 63 emergencies across Australia, helping 83,000+ people.
Every time, we see how being prepared can make an emergency less stressful and improve the speed of recovery.
That’s why your participation in our quiz is so important; you are helping us to raise awareness with your family and extended communities about the need to be prepared.
At the end of the quiz tell us how prepared you think you are and you’ll go into the
draw to win a $500 shopping voucher, kindly donated from our corporate partner,
Coles.
At Australian Red Cross, we show people how to get prepared, provide personal support during disasters and make follow-up visits as communities pick up the pieces in the weeks, months and years afterwards.
But that’s just the beginning of what we do. Our teams also support older,
isolated folks with daily welfare phone calls, they reconnect families separated by
war, they help refugees making new lives in Australia, they support young people in
prison to make positive life changes, and so much more.
Could provide dignity kits filled with toothpaste, shampoo, sanitary pads and other items for people in a disaster overseas.
Could provide grocery vouchers or public transport cards for people who need it most.
A compelling case to act on climate change, and practical ways to do it.
Traditional owners welcome newly-arrived migrants to country in a deeply moving ceremony.
Inspiration from a tough year.
The Australian Red Cross is a humanitarian aid and community services charity based in Australia. We are an impartial and independent humanitarian organisation which provides a range of services to save lives and support people before and after disasters strike. We work with politicians, policy-makers, organisations and the public to improve the situation of the most vulnerable people in Australia and around the world, no matter their circumstance. We advocate based on direct experience and evidence, and empower people to speak out and take action to improve their lives.
The quiz is open to Australian residents aged 18 or older.
